100 Years of Trebeniste
From March to August 2019, at the Archaeological Museum in Skopje, we proudly presented the story of the discovery, which happened quite by chance in 1918, near the village of Trebenishte, near Lake Ohrid. This story is quite unique and inspiring, not only for the exclusivity of the findings or the circumstances of the discovery, but also for its international character, as archaeologists from three countries have individually excavated pieces of a mysterious, historical and cultural puzzle over the past 100 years.
