Library
In the Archaeological Museum of the Republic of North Macedonia is located the oldest and largest specialized archaeological library in Macedonia.
The library’s collection consists of more than 6,000 books (including over 20,000 professional and scientific works by domestic and foreign authors). Among the numerous books are many rare editions, published since the beginning of the 20th century, with the oldest one dating back to 1881.
The library is open to all readers, not only to scientists, archaeologists, and professionals, but also to all lovers of books and the history of cultural heritage and archaeology.
Thanks to the selfless contributions of museum institutions in the Republic of North Macedonia and abroad, as well as personal donations from our colleagues, the Archaeological Museum will continue to serve as a core source of information for many future studies and generations of researchers.
